Daniel Butt

E-mail Daniel Butt
Daniel has been the Pastor at The People’s Mission since January 2020. He is originally from Canada and his wife Hannah is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland. They have three daughters and a son. Daniel believes there is a growing need for clear, Biblically sound teaching that seeks to apply the whole counsel of God to every area of life. Coming from the school that believes God’s power is infallible and His word is true,  Daniel is committed to providing clear, Biblical teaching in a confused culture. Some of Daniel’s interests are, in no particular order: scenic walks, coffee, fountain pens and old books.  He holds a Master of Divinity degree through ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University (Langley, BC, Canada). “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” C.S. Lewis The Weight of Glory and Other Addresses (New York: HarperCollins, 1976) p. 140

Adam Beechey

Director of Finance / Sound Technician
E-mail Adam Beechey

Adam deals with the congregational finance at the People’s Mission. It’s an important role that has as much to do with the mission of the local church as it does with bank accounts and finance. One role among many others that Adam endeavours to do is explain the financial numbers in a way that non-financial people will understand. He is also our Sound Technician, which means it’s his responsibility to assemble, operate and maintain the technical equipment in the Mission.

“To God be the Glory, great things He has done”

Over the last forty years, I have had the great privilege to serve the Lord in this Fellowship.  Throughout this time I have been fortunate enough to be influenced and encouraged by faithful men and women of God, some of whom are now enjoying the rich rewards of Heaven.
I thank God for my wife, Norma who continually loves, supports and provides me with so much great friendship. Norma and I are so blessed with two sons, Jonathan and Michael who are both married to Tanya and Tracey respectively. Although, the jewels in our crown are our four Grandsons.  We praise God as our family walks in His amazing saving grace, and am excited to see the fruit that they all bring to the kingdom.

JESUS, family, sport,..in that order! I accepted Jesus as my personal  Lord and Saviour in 1975 shortly before I moved up North from the Midlands. I have counted it a privilege and joy to serve Him at The People’s Mission over many years. I am married to Lorna, my very loving wife, and we have 2 grown up children: Adam our son, and daughter Carolyn married to John, and grandsons Caleb and Nathan. Like many people I have experienced ups and downs in life but through it all the Lord has been my strength and guide, and will continue to be in the future.
