I was a stranger and you welcomed me. Sometimes all you need is the family that you have been blessed with through the Church...
"Father in Heaven,
Today I thank you for my church;
While some might think of creeds,
Stained-glass windows and uncomfortable pews;
I'm praising you for the people who you have brought together,
from different traditions, nations, and ethnicities;
The people whose lives you've woven together,
Are remarkable through your grace and peace.
I can't praise you enough for the incredible way you've brought the talent, gifts and abilities of others together;
Creating a masterpiece in your sight.
May you help us to love you with all our heart,
And to love each other as you have loved us!
By this everyone will know that we are part of your family, because we love one another!"
Have a great Half-Term, and remember that our regular, weekly schedule at the People's Mission will resume next week!

Why did the scientist disconnect his doorbell?
Because he wanted to win the No-Bell Peace Prize!
Why did the People's Mission install a doorbell?
...in order for our Pastor, or members of our Ministry Team, to be notified that you are outside and would like to come inside 😎
As you can imagine, the People's Mission is a big building and it's impossible for our Pastor, or our Ministry Team, to hear someone knocking at the door if their in office or elsewhere in the building. With this doorbell installed, located at the main entrance on Baring St., those who are inside will be notified if you are outside the building.
Need a chat? Looking for some counsel or just a safe space to sit awhile and reflect? Not a problem; connect with us and we'd be happy to help, encourage and pray with you.
It's finally here! Our weekly Podcast! for those who missed it last week, our morning and evening Sermons at the People's Mission are now available on the Web! Check it out:
Morning Service: Genesis 37:1-11 (Joseph: Life's Tough Questions, Part 1)
Evening Service: Ephesians 1:1-2 (Who are you?: Christian Identity in a Fallen Culture, Part 1)
Morning people....They begin the day with seemingly endless amounts of energy and are full of life and enthusiasm while everyone else is still fighting through the fog of sleep.
Thankfully, we're considerate of the Night Owls in the area and with a 10am start to our Coffee Connection, it should provide enough time for everyone to rise and ready themselves for the adventure of the day.
On Saturday, February 29th, starting at 10am to 12pm, the People's Mission is hosting a Family Friendly Coffee Morning for the community to enjoy. You are most welcome to invite a friend and join us for a hot drink, good conversation and lots more.
Save the date, and we'll see you soon!
SAVE THE DATE and RSVP: The Elders, Trustees and Members of the People’s Mission invite you to share with us in the joy of welcoming Daniel Butt (and Family) as Pastor of the People’s Mission.
We are excited about their future ministry and this new chapter in the Mission’s life.
We are grateful to Rev. Dave Osman (retd) who will assist in the service along with Dr. Robert Murdock from The Faith Mission Bible College (Edinburgh, Scotland) who will be the guest speaker during the ceremony.
We desire that you join with us as we welcome Daniel and family to our church and to the South Shields community. Refreshments and fellowship will be held afterward in the Mission hall.
PLEASE be sure to RSVP as to insure the approximate numbers for catering. Please send RSVP’s to email@example.com or send us a confidential message through Facebook.
“...the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.”
- Psalm 118:23-24, NIV
Church is not a program you attend; it's a family you belong to, that has weekly family reunions on Sunday to worship Jesus.
I love my Church = I love my Family.
Prayer changes things. On Tuesday, February 11th at 7:15pm there will be a Prayer gathering at the People's Mission. Are you anxious? Thankful? Saddened? Unsure of the next step in your journey? Why not come and connect with the Ministry Team at the People's Mission. We would love to connect, listen, encourage and pray with you.
Your Heavenly Father knows you; He hears you and we are here for you.
