We will keep you updated when we plan our next Messy Church. Watch this space!

What is Messy Church?

Messy Church is a fresh new way to bring people of all ages together.  The idea is to start with a time of craft where children and adults can be creative and have fun together.  There is then a short time of bible stories followed by a meal.  Messy Church is aimed at those who don’t normally go to church.

How often is Messy Church?

We plan to run Messy Church every two months, usually on the last Saturday of the month.  You can be kept informed of the Messy Church dates by following us on Facebook.

What time does Messy Church start?

Messy Church at the People’s Mission starts at 3:30pm and finishes at approx. 5.30pm.  Don’t worry if you can’t come at 3:30pm, you can arrive at any time.

Is this just for kids or can anyone come along?

Messy Church is for everyone, even if you don’t have kids.  If you would like to come and have a cuppa and a chat, we would love to see you.   You’d be suprised at how many adults still enjoy craft.

I’m not really into churches and religion and find it all a bit boring!

Sometimes church can be a bit intense and doesn’t suit everyone.  This is the whole reason behind Messy Church, to make it less formal and a whole lot more fun, while at the same time sharing the love of Jesus with the people in our community.  We can guarantee you’ll have fun!

How much does it cost to come to Messy Church at the People’s Mission?

It costs absolutely nothing.   We sometimes put out a donation box, but there is no obligation to give.

I would like to come along, what do I need to do?

All you need to do is turn up!   If you haven’t been before we ask that you complete a quick registration form, just so we can contact you to let you know about other events that we do throughout the year.
